Comparison Review

Comfort
The Acura MDX offers rear passengers about the same room to stretch out as the Subaru Ascent, with comparable head- and legroom. The Subaru Ascent will be a hit with tall drivers and their front seat passengers, since it has greater front head- and legroom than the Acura MDX.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Acura MDX as you will with the Subaru Ascent, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Acura MDX will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the Subaru Ascent, which has a much lower MSRP.

Dimensions
Since the Acura MDX is much wider than the Subaru Ascent, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. When looking at overall length, the Acura MDX takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Subaru Ascent.

Handling
The Acura MDX has a larger turning radius than the Subaru Ascent, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
If you've got something you need to pull, the Acura MDX will do just as well as the Subaru Ascent, since they have about the same towing capacity. The Acura MDX has a little more horsepower than the Subaru Ascent.

Powertrain
With its lower torque engine, the Acura MDX doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Subaru Ascent.

Utility
In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit about the same number of people in both the Acura MDX and the Subaru Ascent. With the Acura MDX, you'll be able to haul more equipment or luggage than the Subaru Ascent.
