Comfort
Due to its greater head- and legroom, passengers in the extended cab will be able to stretch out a lot more in the GMC Sierra 2500 than in the GMC Canyon. The GMC Sierra 2500 will be a favorite with tall drivers and their passengers since it has much greater head- and legroom than the GMC Canyon.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Clearly, the GMC Canyon is a better financial choice over the GMC Sierra 2500, when considering MSRP.

With its lower torque engine, the GMC Canyon doesn't do as good a job transmitting horsepower to its wheels as the GMC Sierra 2500.

Utility
In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit the same number of people in the GMC Canyon as you will the GMC Sierra 2500. The GMC Sierra 2500 has a lot more cargo capacity for hauling lumber or gardening supplies than the GMC Canyon.
