Comfort
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Kia Soul than the Toyota Prius.
As far as headroom and legroom go, there's not much difference between the Kia Soul and the Toyota Prius in the front seats.
Convenience
The Toyota Prius requires fewer visits to the gas station than the Kia Soul, making it more convenient to drive.
Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Based on MSRP, the Kia Soul is clearly a better financial choice over the Toyota Prius.
Dimensions
The Kia Soul is about the same width as the Toyota Prius.
If you go with the Kia Soul, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Toyota Prius.
Handling
The Kia Soul has about the same turning radius as the Toyota Prius, allowing equal maneuverability in and out of tight spots.
Performance
When it comes to horsepower, the Kia Soul is significantly less powerful than the Toyota Prius. The good news is that, reportedly, cars with lower horsepower engines often have lower insurance premiums.
Powertrain
With its lower torque, the Kia Soul doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Toyota Prius.
Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Kia Soul and the Toyota Prius.
