Comparison Review

Comfort
The Ford F-350 offers passengers in its extended cab about the same head- and legroom as the GMC Sierra 3500. The GMC Sierra 3500 will be a favorite with tall drivers and their passengers since it has much greater head- and legroom than the Ford F-350.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Clearly, the Ford F-350 is a better financial choice over the GMC Sierra 3500, when considering MSRP.

Dimensions
Since the Ford F-350 is much slimmer than the GMC Sierra 3500, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the Ford F-350, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the GMC Sierra 3500.

Handling
The Ford F-350 has a significantly larger turning radius than the GMC Sierra 3500, making it much more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
In terms of towing capacity, the GMC Sierra 3500 is clearly the choice over the Ford F-350 for pulling heavy loads. In terms of horsepower, it's a virtual tie between the Ford F-350 and the GMC Sierra 3500.

Powertrain
With its lower torque engine, the Ford F-350 doesn't do as good a job transmitting horsepower to its wheels as the GMC Sierra 3500.

Utility
In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit the same number of people in the Ford F-350 as you will the GMC Sierra 3500. The Ford F-350 has a slightly greater cargo capacity for your lumber or other material than the GMC Sierra 3500.
