Comparison Review

Comfort
Rear passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Acura MDX than in the Toyota 4Runner. The Toyota 4Runner offers just a little more front head- and legroom than the Acura MDX, offering the driver and front passenger a bit more room and comfort.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Acura MDX as you will with the Toyota 4Runner, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Acura MDX will definitely make more of a dent in your wallet than the Toyota 4Runner, which has a much lower MSRP.

Dimensions
Since the Acura MDX is much wider than the Toyota 4Runner, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. For some people, bigger is better. If that's the case for you, then you'll be happier with the Acura MDX, which is slightly longer than the Toyota 4Runner.

Handling
The Acura MDX has a larger turning radius than the Toyota 4Runner, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
If you've got something you need to pull, the Acura MDX will do just as well as the Toyota 4Runner, since they have about the same towing capacity. The Acura MDX has a little more horsepower than the Toyota 4Runner.

Powertrain
With its lower torque engine, the Acura MDX doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Toyota 4Runner.

Utility
The Acura MDX offers greater seating capacity than the Toyota 4Runner, making it a better choice for those who find themselves chauffeuring others around. The Acura MDX has a roomier cargo area for putting your bags or other items than the Toyota 4Runner.
