Comfort
Rear passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the GMC Acadia than in the Nissan Pathfinder.
The Nissan Pathfinder will be a hit with tall drivers and their front seat passengers, since it has greater front head- and legroom than the GMC Acadia.
Convenience
The GMC Acadia requires fewer stops at the gas station than the Nissan Pathfinder, making it more convenient to drive.
Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). Whether you pick the GMC Acadia or the Nissan Pathfinder, it's going to cost you about the same.
Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. Both the GMC Acadia and the Nissan Pathfinder have similar Destination Charges.
Dimensions
Since the GMC Acadia is much slimmer than the Nissan Pathfinder, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot.
When looking at overall length, the GMC Acadia takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Nissan Pathfinder.
Handling
The GMC Acadia has the same turning radius as the Nissan Pathfinder, so they both maneuver the same in and out of tight spots.
Performance
The GMC Acadia has a little less horsepower than the Nissan Pathfinder.
Powertrain
Due to its much higher torque, the GMC Acadia does a much better job of transmitting its engine's horsepower to its wheels than the Nissan Pathfinder.
Utility
The GMC Acadia has less seating than the Nissan Pathfinder, making the Nissan Pathfinder the better choice, if you need to chauffeur many passengers.
You'll be able to fit about the same amount of groceries in the GMC Acadia as you will in the Nissan Pathfinder.
Warranty
The GMC Acadia comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Nissan Pathfinder.
