Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the backseat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Jeep Compass than in the Ford EcoSport, due to its greater head- and legroom. The Ford EcoSport offers just a little more front head- and legroom than the Jeep Compass, making it a little more comfortable for the driver and front passenger.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Ford EcoSport as you will with the Jeep Compass, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Ford EcoSport will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Jeep Compass.

Dimensions
Since the Ford EcoSport is much slimmer than the Jeep Compass, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the Ford EcoSport, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Jeep Compass.

Handling
The Ford EcoSport has a smaller turning radius than the Jeep Compass, allowing you to more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
If you've got something you need to pull, the Ford EcoSport will do just as well as the Jeep Compass, since they have about the same towing capacity. The Ford EcoSport has a little less horsepower than the Jeep Compass.

Powertrain
With its lower torque engine, the Ford EcoSport doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Jeep Compass.

Utility
In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit about the same number of people in both the Ford EcoSport and the Jeep Compass. The Ford EcoSport has less cargo space than the Jeep Compass, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.

Warranty
You'll have greater peace of mind with the more generous basic warranty of the Ford EcoSport than that of the Jeep Compass.
