Comparison Review

Comfort
Due to its greater rear head- and legroom, backseat passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the FIAT 500L than the MINI MINI-Hardtop. Offering just a little more front head- and legroom than the MINI MINI-Hardtop, the FIAT 500L may be a little roomier and more comfortable for the driver and front seat passengers.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the FIAT 500L as you will with the MINI MINI-Hardtop, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the FIAT 500L will have less of an impact on your bank account than the MINI MINI-Hardtop. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Destination Charge for the FIAT 500L is much higher than that for the MINI MINI-Hardtop.

Dimensions
Since the FIAT 500L is much wider than the MINI MINI-Hardtop, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. If you go with the FIAT 500L, you may be circling the block looking for a space large enough to park more often than with the MINI MINI-Hardtop.

Drivetrain
With its lower torque, the FIAT 500L doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the MINI MINI-Hardtop.

Handling
The FIAT 500L has a significantly smaller turning radius than the MINI MINI-Hardtop, allowing much better maneuverability in and out of tight spots.

Performance
The FIAT 500L has less horsepower than the MINI MINI-Hardtop, so it will probably be somewhat slower.

Utility
The FIAT 500L offers greater seating capacity than the MINI MINI-Hardtop, making it a better choice for those who find themselves chauffeuring others around. With its significantly greater cargo capacity, the FIAT 500L will be able to haul more equipment or luggage than the MINI MINI-Hardtop.

Warranty
The FIAT 500L comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the MINI MINI-Hardtop.
