Comfort
Passengers in the back seat may find themselves a little more cramped in the Chevrolet Trax than the Jeep Renegade.
The Jeep Renegade will be a hit with tall drivers and their front seat passengers, since it has greater front head- and legroom than the Chevrolet Trax.
Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Chevrolet Trax as you will with the Jeep Renegade, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.
Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Chevrolet Trax will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Jeep Renegade.
Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Chevrolet Trax carries a much lower Destination Charge than the Jeep Renegade.
Dimensions
Since the Chevrolet Trax is much slimmer than the Jeep Renegade, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot.
When looking at overall length, the Chevrolet Trax takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Jeep Renegade.
Drivetrain
With its lower torque engine, the Chevrolet Trax doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Jeep Renegade.
Handling
The Chevrolet Trax has a smaller turning radius than the Jeep Renegade, allowing you to more easily maneuver in and out of tight spots.
Performance
The Chevrolet Trax has a little less horsepower than the Jeep Renegade.
Utility
In terms of seating, you'll be able to fit about the same number of people in both the Chevrolet Trax and the Jeep Renegade.
The Chevrolet Trax has less cargo space than the Jeep Renegade, which is okay if you don't need to move a lot in one trip.
Warranty
The Chevrolet Trax comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Jeep Renegade.
