Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the back seat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Cadillac XTS than the Acura RLX, due to its greater head- and legroom. Offering just a little more front head- and legroom than the Acura RLX, drivers may find the Cadillac XTS a little roomier and somewhat more comfortable.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Acura RLX as you will with the Cadillac XTS, as they get the same number of miles per tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). When looking only at MSRP, the Acura RLX will have less of an impact on your bank account than the Cadillac XTS. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. The Acura RLX and the Cadillac XTS have similar Destination Charges.

Dimensions
Since the Acura RLX is much wider than the Cadillac XTS, finding a wide enough spot in a parking lot may be a bit more challenging. When looking at overall length, the Acura RLX takes up about the same amount of space in your garage as the Cadillac XTS.

Drivetrain
With similar torque, the Acura RLX and the Cadillac XTS do an equal job of transmitting their engine's power to their wheels.

Handling
The Acura RLX has a larger turning radius than the Cadillac XTS, making it slightly more difficult to maneuver in and out of tight spots.

Performance
In terms of horsepower, it's basically a tie between the Acura RLX and the Cadillac XTS.

Utility
In terms of seating you'll be able to fit the same number of people in both the Acura RLX and the Cadillac XTS. The Acura RLX has significantly less cargo room than the Cadillac XTS, which may be a concern if you do a lot of warehouse shopping.

Warranty
The Acura RLX comes with essentially the same basic warranty as the Cadillac XTS.
