Comparison Review

Comfort
Passengers in the backseat will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Honda Pilot than in the Acura RDX, due to its greater head- and legroom. The Acura RDX offers just a little more front head- and legroom than the Honda Pilot, making it a little more comfortable for the driver and front passenger.

Convenience
You'll be making about the same number of stops at the gas station with the Acura RDX as you will with the Honda Pilot, as they are both able to travel similar distances on a tank of gas.

Cost
There are a lot of factors to consider when calculating the overall cost of a vehicle. The main consideration is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). The Acura RDX is somewhat more expensive than the Honda Pilot. Another consideration is the Destination Charge, which is a standard charge for transporting the vehicle to the dealer from where it's built. In this case, the Acura RDX will cost less to deliver to the dealership than the Honda Pilot.

Dimensions
Since the Acura RDX is much slimmer than the Honda Pilot, it'll be much easier to find a wide enough space in a crowded parking lot. If you go with the Acura RDX, you'll have a much easier time finding a large enough space to park than you will with the Honda Pilot.

Drivetrain
With somewhat higher torque, the Acura RDX transmits power to its wheels a bit more effectively than the Honda Pilot.

Handling
The Acura RDX has the same turning radius as the Honda Pilot, so they both maneuver the same in and out of tight spots.

Performance
In terms of horsepower, it's a virtual tie between the Acura RDX and the Honda Pilot.

Utility
Soccer Moms beware - the Acura RDX seats a lot fewer people than the Honda Pilot. The Acura RDX has significantly less cargo capacity than the Honda Pilot.

Warranty
You'll have greater peace of mind with the more generous basic warranty of the Acura RDX than that of the Honda Pilot.
