The four-wheel drive 2012 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid receives 41 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway and emits a paltry 4.8 tons of carbon dioxide annually. Compare that to the four-wheel drive gas MKZ, which gets 18 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway and it will be hard to not think hybrid. A 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine couples with an electric motor to generate a combined 191-horsepower. Get up to 700 miles on one tank of gas and drive up to 47 mph on electric power alone.
An eight-inch LCD screen displays the MKZ Hybrid’s SmartGauge with EcoGuide technology, which helps you drive more efficiently. See if the MKZ Hybrid is operating on gas or electric power and treat your driving like a video game – the more efficiently you drive, you’ll notice green vines that grow and produce white flowers that blossom. Two LCD graphics pop out of either side of the speedometer when you start the MKZ Hybrid giving you a crisp view of all of the important information.
Inside the 2012 MKZ Hybrid, you will experience eco-minded appointments such as the Bridge of Weir leather-trimmed seating, which can be recycled. You will love heated and cooled front seats, real wood trim, front power seats, memory driver’s seat, and a version of Ford’s Sync infotainment system. Sync’s Traffic, Directions, and Information feature give you traffic alerts, turn-by-turn directions, and other personalized news.
Antilock brakes, AdvanceTrac with electronic stability control, six-airbags, blind spot warning system, and cross-traffic alert system are sure to keep you and yours safe. The cross-traffic alert system can detect moving objects within a 45-foot range from either side of your vehicle when you’re backing out of a space. The MyKey feature places a limit on speed and audio volume so that youngsters don’t get carried away when borrowing the MKZ Hybrid for a night out on the town.

We have had this car for 6 months and it has exceeded our expectations. Driving carefully we are averaging overall 41.2 MPG and I have seen as high as 47.7 on the highway, this in a fully loaded luxury car. My wife uses it as her daily driver and loves all the features, especially SYNC which is perfect for her use. We get many compliments on the car. At a time when gasoline prices are soaring, this is the perfect luxury vehicle to own.
